Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum

Directions:

• Massage 1-2 pumps of the squalane + phyto-retinol serum onto clean face and neck, morning and night.

Tips:

• Although this Squalane + Phyto-Retinol serum has a creamy consistency, it is a lightweight serum designed to be layered with other products. If you normally use moisturizer or oil, follow with Squalane + Omega Repair Cream and/or Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil.

• 1What does "phyto" mean?
  Phyto comes from the Greek word “phyton” which means “plant”. When you see the word “phyto” it means that the product or ingredient comes from a plant source. We call our serum Phyto-Retinol because the main ingredient, bakuchiol, is a plant-derived retinol alternative.
• 2How does bakuchiol work like retinol? How do you get the same benefits without the irritation?
  Bakuchiol works by mimicking the beneficial activity of retinol. In clinical studies, bakuchiol was found to target several of the same gene expression receptors as retinol, and had similar effects on boosting Collagen I, II and III. Bakuchiol also has strong antioxidant properties and is suitable for daytime use, unlike retinol.
• 3Does Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum have the same restrictions as traditional retinol?
  No, the product is free of retinol or retinoids. The “retinol-like” effects come from bakuchiol, a plant-derived retinol alternative that has similar benefits, but because it works in a different way, doesn’t have the irritation or sun sensitivity associated with retinol.
• 4How much PCR%, why not 100%?
  Our new component is made from 50% PCR and is 100% curbside recycle ready - this is the highest percent of PCR we are able to include without compromising the performance of the packaging or its recyclability. Our priority was to deliver a better user experience that minimized waste, increased recyclability, and lowered our carbon footprint.
• 5How do I ensure I have removed all product?
  We have switched to an airless pump component to minimize product waste left in the component. To remove the pump and ensure you have used up all product, simply pull off the white pump cap and remove the copper pump - if difficult to remove by hand, a pair of pliers will do the trick!
• 6Is this Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum safe to use during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
  Since Squalane + Phyto-Retinol Serum does not contain any retinol or retinoids, it does not have the same contraindications as retinol. However, as with any product applied to the skin we recommend checking with your doctor before using while pregnant or breastfeeding.
